Special Dietary Requirements?
DINE@SMU can be found at the Dockside Dining Hall and through our online menus. Recipes and ingredients are managed by our expert chefs. Our onsite Registered Dietitian has analyzed each dish, and regularly monitors the program to ensure menu identifiers are used both accurately and appropriately. Saint Mary’s is excited to better cater to the needs of our students, and look forward to building awareness of the program, and increase user engagement. We feel this initiative fits well into the Saint Mary’s University culture. The DINE@SMU program is in line with the vision to build on the University's strong tradition of accessibility and community engagement [i], while contributing to an unrelenting dedication to sustainability.

Have a Question?
You can Ask a Dietitian! The purpose of this is to help you to make healthier and more informed choices both on and off campus. Many individuals follow specific diets due to chronic diseases or illnesses, allergies or intolerance, dislikes, and cultural preferences and often lack the support needed to follow these diets; especially students who are living away from home. Members of the university may also be unsure of meals they are able to consume on-campus that are compliant with their diets. This easy e-mail and response system enables you to ask a Registered Dietitian/dietetic intern nutrition-related questions and receive timely responses.
How Does it Work?
Our on-site dietitian, Melanie Ingram, is here to customize your dining experience. Do you have food allergies? Need some advice on how to eat healthy in a dining hall? Have a question about the food you see in the dining halls? We're here to help! SMU Dining offers students individual, confidential nutrition counseling or group sessions with Melanie. Please email Melanie Ingram, PDt at email@example.com for more information.
